Join Stella Hill as they celebrate the release of their third EP, Lost at Sea! The show will feature a live performance of the new record with a full band and string trio, as well as a set of songs requested by family and friends. Ithaca based singer, songwriter, and artist Austin MacRae will play an opening set.
Stella Hill is a songwriting collaboration by keyboardist Josh Massicot and string player Liz Ristow. The wife and husband duo write songs with earnest lyrics, tight vocal harmonies, and richly textured arrangements that incorporate both their classical training and eclectic musical tastes. The duo’s third EP, Lost at Sea, features songs inspired by the music of Stephen Stills, Sarah Jarosz, and Peter Gabriel, among others. Stella Hill’s previous EPs North Star (2020) and Stella Hill (2019) are available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms.
Lost at Sea was recorded and engineered by Will Russell at Electric Wilburland Studio in Newfield, NY. It was produced by Josh Massicot (vocals, piano, organ, EP, synths, aux percussion) and Liz Ristow (vocals, violin, cello), who wrote all songs and string arrangements. They were joined by Josh Pincus (electric and acoustic guitars), Tim Isham (upright and electric bass), and Matt Bevan-Perkins (drums). Album art is by Austin MacRae.
