Kara Fink is a singer/songwriter from Rochester, NY. Her writing varies topically, but incorporates elements of life experiences, discoveries, and theological musings. Her set also includes her take on many familiar tunes. Some of Kara’s musical influences include Lizzy McAlpine, MARO, Joni Mitchell, and Steffany Gretzinger.
Kara often performs as a duo with jazz pianist, Parker Story. Parker is a recent graduate of Roberts Wesleyan college and has a degree in music performance. He intends to continue on to pursue his master’s degree in jazz studies.
Kara’s soulful vocal twang over Parker’s intricate chord changes give their music a unique “folk-jazz” sound.
