An Evening with Marco Amadio

Marco Amadio was born in Rome, Italy in 1966 before moving to Rochester, NY with his family at the age of two. He began singing and playing the piano at five years old and discovered that doing both at the same time felt really natural. From the ages 10 to 18, Marco studied at the Eastman School of Music as well as with local jazz greats such as Fred Costello and Joey Santora (Cabo Frio). His first band was formed at age 14, and he has been in one ever since. Not only are his influences as diverse as classical, pop, rock, Latin, and jazz, but he also loves to sing in English, Italian, or Spanish because he believes each language has its own unique characteristics which take him to different places mentally and musically.
