Lovin'cup is proud to present a very special Welcome Back Recovery Concert with Six-time Grammy Nominee, Legendary Guitarist Extraordinaire, Contemporary Jazz Pioneer and Former Spyro Gyra Artist and Composer, Chet Catallo!

This will be Chet's first concert back after some severe complications with spinal surgery - and we are so excited that his strength has allowed him what will be an amazing show!

Chet Catallo is a highly ...respected musician who has accomplished quite a bit in the jazz world. The legendary guitarist is a six-time Grammy nominee, has appeared on the Billboard charts multiple times and is endorsed by Gibson, a company that makes some of the best guitars known to man. Additionally, he owns multiple gold and platinum-selling records thanks to his smashes "Café Amore," "Lovin' You" and "It Doesn't Matter."

But despite beginning his illustrious career with innovative jazz pioneers Spyro Gyra in the late 70's and becoming a staple with his own group Chet Catallo and The Cats, the 57-year-old is taking a fresh approach to his music.

Now an indie artist, Catallo is getting innovative again on his new album entitled First Take. It's a double-disc record that is action packed with original studio music and a live concert – all shot in just one take.

In fact, it's so quality, the effort has been nominated for six Grammys including best pop instrumental jazz album, best pop instrumental track, best instrumental composition, best improvised jazz solo track, best engineered album and best album package.

Unlike most artists, Catallo has two different versions of First Take available, both of which are double-discs. One is the radio-friendly, which features seven studio tracks and seven live performances. The other edition, promptly tagged the "Producer's Choice Mixes," contains all 19 songs in its entirety.

With the exception of "Georgia On My Mind," First Take is comprised of original music, which contains a plethora of pop-flavored jazz singles with an adult contemporary twist. Some of those highlights include the smooth jazz favorite "Summer Groove," the lively "Fingerpickin' Good," and the ultra catchy "City Samba."

Currently, "Latin Sunrise" has been sent to radio and thus far, has received a lot of praise. "Latin Sunrise is definitely a big one that's being played a lot," Catallo says. "Any radio station I have gotten it out to so far is very exited about it and adding it to the list, been getting positive emails about it."

While Catallo is extremely proud of his new masterpiece, he's even more thankful to be alive. Recently, the 57-year-old legend was hospitalized and needed emergency back surgery.

"I had a very bad staph infection that attacked my spine," he says. "I could have passed away or been crippled for the rest of my life, but I caught it in time and going through intense physical therapy to get back on my feet. I'm making a lot of great progress and should be outta here real soon, so I'm looking forward to doing some great shows and promote it."

This will be his first show back and it will be a very intimate and amazing experience! Tickets are available at http://www.ticketweb.com and some local outlets to be announced soon - general admission $20.
